What does "relationship" mean? What are good relationships?

Unfortunately, modern society tends to destroy, not build, good relationships. Things have gotten so blurred that we now tend to confuse the core purpose of relationships. In general, the West teaches relationships based on self-interest ("what's in it for me?") or tolerance. These are not sound foundations. Divorces and lawsuits all too often result.

A better model is of relationships that are based on four, higher principals:

The best consulting relationships are collaborative, long-term, mutually reinforcing, and mutually rewarding.  The goal is to rejoice in high value outcomes. The focus is on results and outcomes, not activities and tasks. That is what I strive for in my consulting practice. With your help, that is what we can achieve, working together to achieve valuable outcomes.
